Hawaii Island police are investigating three thefts of bamboo within a week at a nursery in Kapaau.

Hawaii Island police are investigating three thefts of bamboo within a week at a nursery in Kapaau.

Sometime between July 5 and 7, $100 worth of potted plants were removed from a bamboo nursery on Pratt Road. Between Friday evening and Saturday morning, $500 worth of potted plants were removed. Between Saturday evening and Sunday morning, an additional $2,456 worth of potted plants was removed, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Police ask anyone with information about these thefts to call the department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311.
